Claire Jones is an award-winning filmmaker, journalist and presenter for the BBC.
 
She is a passionate, creative and engaging journalist with a wide range of experience presenting and reporting on television, radio and online.
 
Claire is driven to tell people's stories and is a likeable, enthusiastic and warm on-air presence. 

Claire is a reporter for BBC News, previously leading investigations for the BBC's flagship daytime news and current affairs show The Victoria Derbyshire Programme and she has also reported for BBC World.

Prior to this she broke numerous stories in the South West for BBC Inside Out and BBC Spotlight and worked for the daily newspaper The Herald as the Education Correspondent.

Claire has a Degree in Journalism from the University of Portsmouth and a Masters in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Falmouth.

Claire won ‘Most Promising Newcomer to Education Journalism’ at the CIPR Education Journalism Awards at the Houses of Parliament in London and ‘Daily Print Journalist of the Year’ at the EDF Energy Media Awards in Bristol.
